Hot deal and Hot temps

Whew it's hot! These temperatures are unreal! I am not a big fan of "global warming" but I must admit the past couple of summers have been the hottest I can remember. Of course it could be as I get older my body just does not take the heat as well. When my wife and I discuss how hot it is, usually after forbidding me to go outside and work on something, she will remind me her dad was born in July  1930 and the record high in the MS Delta was set that day. Can you imagine living back then with no air conditioning much less having a baby. If you live in the MS Delta pay attention when the weatherman tells when the records were set and you will find a lot are in the early thirties.  As bad as I hate to say, it is too hot to fish. With water temps in the 90's fish are only feeding at night or very early in the morning. As soon as the sun hits the water the bite stops.
